Blackpool Zoo and Attractions

Blackpool Zoo is home to more than 1500 exotic animals that include lions, tigers, Asian elephants, gorillas, orang utans, camels, kangaroos, zebras, red river hogs, sea lions, tapirs, otters, llamas, capybara, large families of rare primates and more. Attractions in the zoo include Arnie Aardvarks adveture playground and the Dinosaur Safari plus many more.

Blackpool Zoo is the first in the world to have an on site childrens nursery.

The Dinosaur Safari is a unique, walk-round prehsitoric garden with 32 life-sized dinosaurs and other creatures from the traissic, jurassic and ice age periods.

The park's award winning Gorilla Mountain is a breathtaking, close encounter with these powerful and beautiful animals. A group of 4 adults, Bukavu, Njema, Miliki and Kena, enjoy the freedom to roam the island seeking food and treats strategically hidden by their devoted keepers.

Amazonia - Face to Face is topped with a steel mesh dome, this superb, walk-through exhibit houses several species of monkey, black-necked swans, conures and other waterfowl.

Thel Zoo is situated next to Blackpool Victoria Hospital, about 2 miles from the town center and just a short walk from Blackpool very on Stanly park.

Opening times: Daily from 10:00 AM with last admission is at 5:00 PM.
