Blackpool Town Center has recently got larger with the extention of the Houndshill shopping center. This major development was completed in the summer of 2008. Many new shops were created within this great new indoor shopping center. The new Debenhams store is the jewel in the Houndshill's crown.
Next, Primark, Game, Clarks, New Look, H & M, O2 and River Island are a few of the major retailers that have relocated into the Houndshill. There are many more ! The Houndshill Isn't the only place to shop in the town center, it's just part of it.
Nowaday's it seems that something new is being done to the Town Center all the time and it's going to get even better in the future too. Plans have been approved for the Talbot Gateway which is to be built on the area next to Blackpool North Train station and will create new shopping and commercial zones. Also next to St Johns Church and The Winter Gardens an new public space is currently created to make the area more freindly. There is also a new developement on Birley Street which will just set the Town Center alight.
With all these new developements in the town center and add the Brand new Promenade which too is nearly complete Blackpool town center is just getting brighter and brighter.
